Though I do provide free web hosting myself, we've of course had our bad times, however you get this with every provider really. I do agree to a certain extent with this article, however I would say that you are correct in saying that free hosting should literally only be used for personal use! Though we do provide for business to personal, we sometimes see a lot of people with business websites upgrade to a VPS or something! But seriously it's free, what are you expecting? :) If I could I would go green with my host, however I've found it to be to expensive and I don't think a free web host could afford it.
